Csongor Tompa is a Partner and heads the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets team at the Budapest office of Siegler Bird & Bird Ügyvédi Iroda. With almost 20 years of experience, he specializes in banking, finance, and capital markets transactions, and has significant experience in M&A, bankruptcy and restructuring, energy projects, and general corporate and commercial law. He has represented financial institutions and borrower companies in project finance, syndicated lending, and cross-border transactions, particularly in the energy and real estate sectors. He has been seconded to IBM's legal department for CEMA countries in Vienna, worked at UniCredit Bank (London Branch) and CIB Bank Budapest.
