David Nelson is a Partner at Ogier based in Hong Kong, specializing in BVI and Cayman Islands law aspects of debt financing, restructuring, and private equity transactions. His experience includes leveraged finance, acquisition finance, fund finance, margin lending, structured finance, real estate finance, and general corporate lending. He is part of Ogier's Restructuring & Corporate Recovery team, advising on refinancing, loan restructuring, and distressed debt investment. He also acts for private equity sponsors and lenders on cross-border leveraged and acquisition financings, margin loans, minority back leverage financings, mezzanine financings, fund-level financings, syndicated facilities, and loan restructurings. He was recognized in Asian Legal Business' 2018 list of Asia's Top 40 Lawyers Under 40. He trained with Allen & Overy in London and later worked at Devonshires Solicitors.
