Co-leader of Jones Day's global Antitrust & Competition Practice. Highly experienced European antitrust lawyer representing major entities in sectors such as technology, financial services, manufacturing, automotive, transport, telecoms, and media. Handles competition matters including merger control, cartel, abuse of dominance, and State aid before the European Commission, European courts, and national authorities. Former official at the European Commission's Directorate General for Competition (1989-91). Also serves as arbitrator and on the advisory board of the European Competition Journal; former council member of the International Bar Association.
