Thomas Timmermans is a Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig LLP in the Netherlands, specializing in labor & employment law. He advises national and international clients on employment and employee benefits issues, including corporate governance, dismissals, large restructurings, employee representation, employee benefits (including remuneration within financial institutions), strategic employment issues, and cross-border corporate law-related employment matters. He has particular expertise in board member terminations, outsourcing/transfer of undertakings (TUPE), works council consultation procedures, and incentives. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Employment Lawyers (VAAN), the Association of Employment Law (VvA), the Association of Employment Lawyers Amsterdam (VAAA), and the Association of Pension Lawyers (Vereniging van Pensioenjuristen). He holds an LL.M. from the University of Utrecht (2007), a Post Graduate Degree in Employment Law from Grotius Academy (2011), and a Post Graduate Degree as Certified Pension Lawyer (CPL) from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2019).
