Siddharth Rao is a Partner at Sarthak Advocates & Solicitors. He has advised government departments and public officials, assisted in drafting Private Member Bills, and provides litigation and dispute resolution services. His experience includes advising clients on investments in India and cross-border transactions. He served as a legal advisor to the Climate Policy Initiative and is empanelled with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency and Convergence Energy Services Ltd. Previously at the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group), he provided legal advisory to the Government of India on state-level and global Ease of Doing Business rankings, co-authored a section on 'Enforcing Contracts' in 'Doing Business in India: Reform Memorandum', and represented the WBG at consultations with the Bankruptcy Law Reforms Committee for the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016. He has provided transactional advice on Concession Agreements, including a PPP scheme under the Ministry of Rural Development, and drafted a Model Concession Agreement for NITI Aayog for PPPs in the healthcare sector.
