James Kennedy is a Partner at Preston Turnbull in England who specialises in shipping, international trade and insurance disputes and is widely regarded in the market as a go-to adviser on bunker disputes (peers have recommended him as "Mr. Bunkers"). He qualified as a solicitor in 2008, has undertaken secondments to a major international insurance company and a leading commodities trader, acts for insurers, shipowners, charterers, traders and bunker suppliers, has represented clients in LMAA, LCIA, ICC and ad hoc arbitrations, and was appointed as a member and legal advisor to the BIMCO sub-committee on the revision of the Bimco Bunker Terms.
