Sushma Maharaj is a Partner in Shakespeare Martineau LLP's Energy department and a renewable energy specialist who advises project sponsors, corporations, financial institutions, governments and regulatory bodies on renewable energy projects and heat networks. She handles regulatory and market-structure matters, services arrangements (including concession, supply, O&M and asset optimisation agreements) and power purchase and other route-to-market agreements, and has completed secondments to the Northern Ireland electricity regulator (OFREG), British Energy and Smartest Energy.
