Previously head of Maples and Calder's global corporate practice; qualified as a solicitor in 1989 after reading law at Trinity College, Oxford, and since 2009 has been involved in private investment projects, start-ups, philanthropic endeavours and advising/serving as director of various funds and investment vehicles.
