Zhida Chen

Zhida Chen is Director at Helmsman LLC in Singapore and leads the firm's Commodities Practice Group, advising on commercial, shipping and international trade matters across the Asia‑Pacific region. He handles both contentious and non‑contentious matters — including complex commercial litigation, international arbitration and high‑value transactions — is fluent in English and Mandarin, served as a Justices' Law Clerk at the Supreme Court of Singapore, teaches as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS Faculty of Law, and holds an LLB (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore and an LLM in International Legal Studies from New York University; he has been recognised by Chambers, Legal 500, Benchmark Litigation and Asialaw.
