Clare-Alice Vertue is a partner at Webber Wentzel and a competition law specialist advising on merger control, prohibited practices and litigation across South Africa and a number of Sub‑Saharan African jurisdictions. She has experience in civil damages litigation arising from cartel conduct and sector experience in pay-TV, construction, tobacco and aviation, and previously clerked for Justice Johann van der Westhuizen at the Constitutional Court of South Africa.
