Chamindi Ekanayake is Head of Department: Intellectual Property at Nithya Partners, specialising in intellectual property law and a key figure in building the firm's IP practice since joining in 2008. She advises local and foreign clients on IP and cross-border transactions, portfolio management and monetization, represents clients in opposition hearings, and is a trained patent drafter (Japanese Patent Office); she was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in 2008.
