Of Counsel at AKD based in the Netherlands, François Defaix advises on collective and individual employment law, specialising in collective dismissals, reorganisations, social plans and trade-union negotiations as well as international employment law and employment aspects of M&A and transfers of business. He also acts as boardroom counsel on director appointments, suspensions and dismissals, litigates (frequently before the Enterprise Section/Ondernemingskamer) and regularly teaches and publishes.
