Partner at Portolano Cavallo based in Italy, Irene Picciano is recognised as one of Italy’s leading experts in Competition and EU law with almost thirty years' experience advising multinational companies on cartels, abuse of dominant position, merger control, dawn raids, internal investigations and related litigation including preliminary rulings before the Court of Justice of the European Union. She has been a Supreme Court attorney since 2012, is the author of over 150 publications on competition and EU law and has served as a Non-Governmental Advisor to the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition within the International Competition Network.
