Partner at Mello Torres in Brazil, advising on project finance, M&A, corporate law and foreign-trade financial transactions. Former chief compliance officer and general counsel at Vale (2001–January 2018), former executive vice president at Bahia Mineração (coordinating the Pedra de Ferro mining project), formerly a partner at Machado, Meyer, and with prior roles at IFC and Cargill; chaired the board of Petrobras Distribuidora in 2015.
