Partner at Salomão Advogados in Brazil, recognized as one of Brazil’s leading experts in Tax Law, Customs Law and Tax Procedural Law; he holds a PhD and a Master’s degree in Tax Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London. A retired Federal Judge of the Federal Regional Court of the 2nd Region (TRF2), he is a Full Professor of Financial and Tax Law at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), coordinated the CNJ Diagnostic Report on Brazilian Tax Litigation, served as Rapporteur for the Senate Commission of Jurists on Reform of Tax Procedure, and is a member of ABDF, ILADT and IFA; recognized in the 2025 Análise Advocacia survey among the Most Admired Lawyers in the Comprehensive category in Rio de Janeiro.
