Senior Partner at Escritório Jurídico Carbone with 40 years' practice in shipping law. He advises on non-contentious matters (charter parties, bills of lading, shipbuilding contracts, offshore oil industry, competition and regulatory aspects), handles litigation (cargo claims, pollution cases, collisions) and has acted both as arbitrator and as counsel in arbitrations; he has been a partner of the firm since 1981 and is President of the Brazilian Maritime Law Association (ABDM) since 2017.
