The firm: Al-Jad is a multi-disciplinary practice based in Lebanon. The firm is ranked Tier 2 in Commercial, Corporate and M&A (2017-2018 The Legal 500). Al-Jad lawyers are recognised as trusted local lawyers with international credentials. The majority of the team hold dual legal education from Lebanon and leading western universities (UK and France). All lawyers are civil law qualified with a working knowledge of English law. The team maintains a solid network of clients in Lebanon, Iraq and Saudi Arabia with the backbone being medium and large family conglomerates. In addition, they are regularly retained to perform transactional, compliance and disputes work on behalf of US, European, Indian and Chinese companies. They are retained either directly or through international law firms. The majority of Al-Jad clients operate within the following industries: Banking, construction, consumer products, energy, technology, insurance and projects. The firm enjoys an interrelated working relationship with CMS, the sixth largest law firm in the world by number of lawyers, with revenues in excess of US$1.3bn.
