Partner at Advokatfirmaet Schjødt AS in Norway, he joined the firm as an associate in 1988 and became partner in 1992, and has for many years headed the firm's Industry Department and previously the Real Estate Department. He advises on a wide range of commercial-law matters—including contracts, negotiations, disputes (up to litigation), start-ups and business organisation—and is recognised for his work in franchise law, mining/mineral-rights transactions (including cross-border acquisitions and due diligence for Australian and Canadian stock-exchange listings), and media/publishing clients.
