Valter de Souza Lobato is a Senior Partner at Sacha Calmon e Misabel Derzi Consultores e Advogados and a tax law academic; he is a professor of tax and finance law at UFMG and assistant coordinator of the postgraduate programme at Faculdades Milton Campos. He is President of the Brazilian Tax Law Association and of the Tax Committee at Fecomércio/MG, coordinator of the ABRADT-FORUM tax law review, and previously headed tax consultancy and litigation for a leading steelmaking company.
