Adam Greenfield
Adam Greenfield, an intellectual property trial lawyer, represents and advises clients on a full range of IP matters, particularly involving patent and trade secret litigation and licensing. Adam draws on a sophisticated understanding of the technology underlying his clients’ business and a focused, practical approach to represent companies in high-stakes disputes in the following key venues: US district courts US International Trade Commission (ITC) Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit He regularly represents US and international clients across industries and on matters with cross-border components or implications. Many of these matters have involved standard essential patents (SEPs) and fair, reasonable, and nondiscriminatory (FRAND) licensing. Complementing his commercial work, Adam maintains an active pro bono practice, including obtaining a victory for veteran Robert Doyon in the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which issued a precedential decision holding that the Navy was required to apply liberal consideration to applications that seek medical retirement due to combat-induced post-traumatic stress disorder. Adam is a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Association, through which he was a Global Fellow. Alexandre Hublet
Alexandre is a partner in our Global Commercial Litigation practice and heads the Firm's Litigation and Arbitration practices for both Belgium and Luxembourg. He is a pivotal figure in our Brussels and Luxembourg Disputes Practices, which are recognized for managing technically complex, cross-practice, and cross-office matters. Alexandre has represented clients before Belgium's highest courts—including the Cour de Cassation/Hof van Cassatie, Conseil d'Etat/Raad van State, and Cour Constitutionnelle/Grondwettelijk Hof—as well as before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Justice. He specializes in high-stakes disputes, both domestic and international, focusing on cross-border litigation, white-collar investigations, and commercial disputes. His nuanced understanding of both civil and common law systems allows him to navigate sophisticated multi-jurisdictional matters with strategic precision. Alexandre has also been instrumental in developing our Luxembourg Disputes Practice, which focuses on Restructuring, Commercial Litigation, Funds and Tax Disputes, and Enforcement of judgments or arbitral awards. The team has quickly gained recognition, particularly through its work with major clients like Amazon and notable successes in international restructuring cases. He represents clients in high-stakes disputes before domestic courts and in international arbitration. Alexandre has significant experience in arbitration, particularly in post-M&A and enforcement matters, including cases involving sovereign parties. He regularly serves as an arbitrator and tribunal secretary. Beyond his litigation and arbitration work, Alexandre advises clients on regulatory compliance, internal investigations, and white-collar matters. His practical understanding of business risk is enhanced by previous secondments to the legal department of Engie and the Firm's London office. Alexandre is the driving force behind the presence of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Brussels. Under his initiative, the Brussels office has actively supported the competition through the Vis Colloquium (since 2022), the Brussels Pre-Moot, and the White & Case Vienna reception. These initiatives reflect his commitment to the next generation of arbitration professionals and the strong visibility of our Brussels team in the Firm's global arbitration network. Alexandre holds a magna cum laude law degree from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and an LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution from New York University School of Law. A former teaching assistant in private international law at ULB, he is a regular speaker on arbitration, anti-money laundering, and ESG topics, and frequently contributes to legal publications. He is a member of the Luxembourg (Liste IV), Brussels, and New York Bars. · Cross-Border Litigation
