Cillian advises on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions including foreign direct investment (FDI), buying and selling businesses, M&A, restructuring businesses, asset and share sales and purchases, joint ventures, partnership agreements and structuring of professional partnerships. Emma is Managing Partner and Partner in Whitney Moore's Employment, Immigration and Pensions team. She is an experienced litigation solicitor, with expertise in defence litigation and dispute resolution, and with particular specialist expertise in employment and immigration. Emma advises both employers and employees on all aspects of the employment relationship from appointment through to termination. She regularly appears, on behalf of clients, before the Workplace Relations Commission and the Courts representing them in a range of disputes including unfair dismissal actions, discrimination claims and breach of contract actions. Emma also works closely with HR professionals and in-house management teams advising on day-to-day issues such as bullying and harassment, absenteeism, as well as restructuring and redundancies. She is an experienced public speaker and delivers seminars to clients and provides tailored training to in-house management teams in such areas as data protection, advising on the necessary steps to be taken by employers in protecting personal data collected in the course of their business. Robin is a partner in Whitney Moore's IP team. He practises in the fields of dispute resolution and intellectual property (contentious and non-contentious). He has considerable experience in contentious IP work, including litigation involving claims of infringement and revocation of patents which protect medical devices, pharmaceuticals and electronic point-of-sale devices. Robin is also experienced in trade mark law (including comparative advertising), passing off and acting, amongst others, on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants operating in the FMCG, motor and entertainment industries. Robin acted for McCambridge Limited in its successful proceedings before the High Court and Supreme Court alleging passing off of its bread packaging by a competitor and also in its subsequent claim in the High Court for an account of the defendant’s profits.
