Jaap Tempelman is a partner in the Digital Business Practice at Simmons & Simmons, based in the Amsterdam office. He leads the practice and joined the firm in 2024 from another international law firm where he led the commercial technology team in the Netherlands. His expertise includes business process and IT outsourcing, IT commercial contracting and technology licensing, telecommunications, data protection and cybersecurity, AI regulation, e-commerce, and commercial (technology-related) litigation. He also serves as an arbiter at the Foundation for the Settlement of Automation Disputes in the Netherlands (SGOA) and is a soon-to-be-appointed deputy judge at the District Court of The Hague. Additionally, he has in-house experience as a senior corporate attorney and head of legal at various telecommunications companies.
