
Olivia Delagrange
Olivia is the National Practise Group Head of the firm’s Dispute Resolution department in Spain. She also leads the Insurance department and is responsible for the Life Sciences department of the Madrid office. She is a specialist in insurance litigation, across a wide range of lines of business, and has a very strong reputation in the field of property insurance, construction and energy (oil & gas, and renewable energy). She mainly acts for insurers and reinsurers in coverage disputes or in subrogated recovery actions, but also as a defence lawyer for insureds. Olivia Delagrange is also highly experienced in Product Liability with a particular focus on Life Sciences, and has defended many companies in the pharmaceutical, chemical, agricultural and food industry, in claims across many jurisdictions. She is qualified in three jurisdictions: Spain (since 2006), Belgium (since 2004) and England & Wales (since 2015), and works fluently in four languages: Spanish, English, French and Dutch. This triple qualification makes her the right person for complex international disputes. Apart from the traditional dispute resolution at Spanish Courts, Olivia is also often appointed to act in arbitration, both institutional or ad hoc, not only defending insurers, but also as a defence lawyer in liability claims.
