Paweł Sawicki is a Partner in the White Collar Crime team of Bird & Bird’s Warsaw office. He provides businesses with comprehensive advisory services specialising in criminal law, in particular white collar crime and criminal corporate law, litigation, internal investigations, and compliance. He has many years of experience representing clients in litigation, including complex, multithreaded cases. He acts as defence counsel in criminal proceedings, representing victims, mainly companies and entities affected by fraud or other criminal abuse. He assists private and public sector entities and international corporations with internal inquiries into various abuse, including actions to the detriment of corporations, abuse of power, money laundering, corruption, and misappropriation of assets. He has extensive experience in compliance advisory, auditing internal procedures and policies, conducting regulatory risk analyses, preparing and implementing internal procedures, and advising on preventing abuse and cybersecurity matters. He is a co-founder and President of the Association of Compliance Practitioners (Praktycy Compliance Stowarzyszenie) and holds certificates: Approved Compliance Expert, Approved AML Compliance Officer, Approved Whistleblowing Officer (AWBO), and Approved E/S/G Officer.
