Melissa Murray is the Head of Country for the UAE, the Head of Intellectual Property for the Middle East, and the global co-head of Franchising at Bird & Bird, based in the United Arab Emirates. She has practised in the UAE since 2006, advising clients on intellectual property, commercial, corporate, and litigation matters in the UAE and the Middle East, with specialisation in franchising, distribution, and supply agreements. She holds an LLB from Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland. She is a member of several professional organisations, including INTA, the American Bar Association, and the IBA Franchising Committee.
