David Welford is Head of Dispute Resolution in the Middle East and Practice Partner of Ogier's Dubai office. He is a barrister with broad experience of commercial and financial disputes, with a focus on cross-border company, trusts, insolvency and restructuring matters. He has extensive advocacy experience at first instance and on appeal. He advises on BVI law and has been involved in some of the largest and most complex matters before the courts in the region since moving offshore in 2014. He has particular experience of interim remedies including asset freezing, disclosure and receivership orders, especially in the context of multi-jurisdictional disputes.
