Ghada El Ehwany is the Managing Partner of Helmy, Hamza & Partners, Baker McKenzie Cairo, and heads the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group. She has over 25 years of experience in the Middle East, focusing on corporate, commercial, and labor matters, as well as M&A, regulatory, insolvency, compliance, investigations, intellectual property, and dispute resolution. She leads employment efforts for the Cairo office, advising on post-acquisition transfers, employee benefits, profit-sharing, dismissals, and social insurance across healthcare, life sciences, technology, media, telecoms, consumer goods, and retail. IFLR1000 recognized her as 'Rising Star Partner' in its 31st Edition. She previously worked as counsel in Baker McKenzie's UAE office (based in Dubai) for several years, returning to Cairo where she originally practiced for 14 years.
