Derek Kwan is Principal (Partner) and co-head of Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow's Singapore Funds Practice. He specialises in structuring, formation and operation of a broad range of closed-end funds and private investment vehicles, covering private equity, venture capital, real estate and other asset classes. With over 18 years of experience in Singapore and Hong Kong markets, he advises on fund formation including blind pools, clubs, co-investment funds, and other structures, as well as sponsor-related issues, new fund management businesses, joint venture platforms, and carried interest plans. He also represents institutional investors on fund investments and co-investments.
