Amelia Alvarez is an Associate in the Employment and Labor practice group at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, based in Irvine, California. She represents employers in complex wage and hour litigation, single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff matters involving wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, retaliation, discrimination, and harassment, as well as representative actions under PAGA. She has extensive experience in state and federal court litigation, including discovery, motions, and trial preparation, and also handles arbitration and mediation. Prior to joining BCLP, she was an associate at a litigation boutique in Los Angeles. She is an adjunct clinical professor at UC Irvine School of Law and has received the ACLU Foundation of Southern California Gender Justice Award (2021). She is a member of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association and the Mexican American Bar Association.
