Sebastian Kaplan is Counsel in the Litigation and Investigations practice, within the Intellectual Property and Technology Disputes department at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. He litigates trademark, copyright, trade secret, and complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts, and defends technology innovators in privacy, false advertising, and consumer class actions. He has served in leadership roles with the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco, where he was appointed to the ABA's Advisory Commission on Public Education, served as president of BASF's Barristers Club, and chairs the BASF Intellectual Property Section. He is also active in pro bono housing law, having received BASF's Housing Justice Award. Before BCLP, he clerked for the Hon. Carlos T. Bea on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and practiced at firms in San Francisco and Oakland.
