Vernon Lewis is Counsel in the Litigation and Investigations practice at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, based in the United States. He is a former Assistant United States Attorney and Chief of the Fraud Section for the United States Attorney’s Office Southern District of Texas. For 21 years, he prosecuted or supervised the prosecution of tax fraud, healthcare fraud, wire fraud, and computer crimes cases. He began his career clerking for a federal judge in Houston, later joining a law firm in Miami, Florida, where he became a partner. He has received the U.S. Attorney’s Professionalism Award and served in various leadership roles, including Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney and Ethics Advisor.
