Cristiana Spontoni is the Practice Leader and co-leader of the Health Care & Life Sciences Practice at Jones Day, based in Belgium. She is internationally recognized as a leader in life sciences (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, cosmetics, digital health including AI) and in general EU product and industries regulation. She is actively involved in shaping and interpreting EU legislation for regulated industries and has argued cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union. She frequently coordinates large international assignments and cross-border regulatory issues, advising clients from pre-market phases (clinical trials, pre-market authorizations) through post-market issues (product liability, marketing, distribution, compliance including antibribery and data privacy).
