Zara Shafruddin is an experienced international arbitration practitioner and litigator. She has extensive experience advising and representing companies and State-owned entities in international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations under all major arbitration rules (ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, LCIA, ICSID, UNCITRAL). She focuses on oil and gas, energy and resources, construction, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, joint venture, shareholder and post-M&A disputes, and also advises on arbitration-related court proceedings. She is triple qualified in New York, England & Wales, and New South Wales (Australia), holds an LLM from Columbia University and an LLB/BCom from Griffith University, and has authored publications including contributing to 'A Guide to the SIAC Arbitration Rules' (Oxford University Press, 2014). She is a member of the YSIAC Council and the Steering Committee of ACICA45.
