Bruce McDonald represents energy, chemicals, telecommunications, transportation, and manufacturing companies in federal and state antitrust government investigations and enforcement actions, merger reviews, and antitrust private litigation. He served as deputy assistant attorney general with the U.S. Department of Justice in the George W. Bush Administration. He is past chair of the State Bar of Texas' Antitrust & Business Litigation Section and has chaired the ABA Antitrust Section's Transportation & Energy Committee and the Houston Bar Association's Antitrust Section. He has testified before U.S. Congress committees, speaks and writes on antitrust law enforcement and policy, and edited PLI's Antitrust Law Answer Book. He graduated from The University of Texas School of Law and has taught antitrust and trade regulation as an adjunct professor. He was named Houston Antitrust Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and president of the Episcopal Foundation of Texas.
