About

Eliot Pedrosa is a first-chair litigator and trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience representing businesses in complex litigation. He serves as head of litigation for Jones Day's Miami Office. He has first chaired more than a dozen products liability jury trials, including as lead trial counsel for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. He has also led trial teams in commercial jury trials and arbitrations involving M&A, software licensing, broadcast media rights, and international commercial transactions. A native Spanish speaker, he has in-depth knowledge of Latin American law and finance, having recently completed a term as the Senate-confirmed Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank. He often counsels and defends clients in connection with investigations by regulatory and law enforcement agencies, and earlier in his career he served in the SEC's Enforcement Division. He provides pro bono legal services, including representing human trafficking victims and bringing a First Amendment challenge on behalf of a private Christian school.
