Nick Setty is a proven first chair trial lawyer at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, who has tried over 30 intellectual property cases to verdict with a win rate above 90%. He has been lead counsel in over 200 patent, trade secret, trademark, and copyright matters. His IP trial work has been recognized in Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, SuperLawyers, IAM 1000, and Managing Intellectual Property, which named him IP Lawyer of the Year (Washington, 2016). Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, he founded an IP boutique, Setty Chachkes PLLC (2021–25), and served in leadership roles at Orrick (until 2017), Sheppard Mullin (IP Group Co-Chair, 2011–13), Fish & Richardson (Office Managing Partner, 2006–11), and Jones Day (2000–06).
