Erika Baez Elizondo is a Local Partner at Greenberg Traurig in the Tax department. Her practice focuses on tax consulting services for domestic and international organizations, including listed companies, with experience in energy, infrastructure, consumer goods and retail, health care, financial services, and technology sectors. She handles interpretation and analysis of federal tax provisions, international tax treaties, and local taxes, as well as tax aspects of corporate structures, mergers, spin-offs, acquisitions, financing, equity structures, and infrastructure projects (FIBRA, CKD, FIBRA E). She also advises on tax due diligence, compliance, and tax effects for Mexican individuals with local and foreign investments. Prior to Greenberg Traurig, she worked for more than 15 years at a major Mexican advisory, consulting, and tax litigation firm and served as a controller in a Family Office. She provides pro bono tax advisory for non-profit organizations. She is a teacher of Tax courses in graduate and post-graduate programs at ITAM and serves on the counsel of non-profit organizations.
