He leads Dentons’ Banking Regulation and Financial Institutions Regulatory practice in the Middle East and also has banking transactional expertise. He has more than 20 years of experience advising on regulatory matters in the financial services sector, including new market entry licensing applications and upgrades, innovative product regulatory analysis (including fintech), cross-border promotion, regulatory investigations and legislative enhancement projects. In addition, Ahmed has a wealth of experience as lead counsel on banking and finance transactions (including conventional and Islamic finance) and structuring banking products. Ahmed focuses primarily on the Saudi Arabia, mainland UAE, DIFC, ADGM and Qatar markets.
