Nisha Patel Gupta is a partner at Dechert in the United States, focusing on intellectual property law with an emphasis on patent litigation. She represents technology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies in IP litigation as both plaintiffs and defendants. Her technical experience spans telecommunications, internet platforms, computer architecture, fiber optics, semiconductor devices, microfabrication, medical devices, and telehealth systems. Ms. Gupta handles all phases of trial and appellate practice in federal courts, prosecutes complex patents, and manages post-grant proceedings such as re-examination and Inter Partes review before the USPTO. She has also managed global litigation while in-house at a large tech company, offering a client-focused business perspective. Her pro bono work includes serving as first chair in a jury trial in the Northern District of California and arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
