About
Diego Peña co-leads the Energy and Natural Resources practice group of DLA Piper in Chile and LatAm. He advises local and foreign clients on the acquisition, feasibility assessment, development, and operation of resource and major infrastructure projects. He assists with negotiating commercial agreements, obtaining approvals, and resolving contentious matters. He is involved from early-stage development through financing, construction, commissioning, and execution of operating and supply agreements. He has experience in private and public infrastructure projects, including maritime and terrestrial ports, large-scale industrial facilities, desalination plants, LNG terminals, green hydrogen, renewables (hydro, wind, biomass, solar), and transmission infrastructure. He also advises financial institutions and private investors on energy transition and PPP matters and assists underwriters in resource project assessment.
