Ricardo Alarcón is an Of Counsel in the DLA Piper Mexico City office, a member of the firm's global international arbitration group. He has extensive experience representing States and multinational corporations in international commercial and investor-State arbitrations under ICSID, ICC, and UNCITRAL rules, across industries including construction, infrastructure, and energy and natural resources. Prior to DLA Piper, he worked in the international arbitration group of a renowned American law firm in Paris, served as a legal advisor at the Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a research assistant to a UN International Law Commission special rapporteur in Geneva, and as an intern at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in The Hague.
