Sergio Barboza is a Partner at DLA Piper Perú, co-leading the Latin America Banking & Finance Practice and heading the Banking and Finance group in Peru. He represents commercial banks, investment banks, multilateral agencies, ECAs, private equity funds, and corporations in domestic and cross-border financings, including bridge financings, mezzanine loans, syndicated loans, acquisition financings, asset-based loans, restructurings, and capital markets transactions. He counsels financial institutions, nonbank financial services firms, and fintech companies on M&A, strategic investments, and regulatory matters. He serves on the board of several financial institutions supervised by Peruvian banking authorities and teaches Banking Law at Universidad de Lima.
