Stephen Boyko

With almost 30 years of experience, Steve has been at the forefront of legal developments in the private credit industry, including the creation of new products, the migration of products to other jurisdictions, and the formation of joint ventures between banks and credit funds. As the co-founder of the Private Credit group and the immediate past co-chair of the Corporate Department, Steve often acts for clients in complex, interdisciplinary, and one-of-a-kind transactions. Steve represents one of the largest client rosters in the industry, including an array of specialty finance companies, private debt funds, business development companies (BDCs), CLOs, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, private equity investors, in regular-way, opportunistic, and restructuring related transactions. Steve actively represents over 50 clients in transactions that have ranged from $5 million to $1 billion.
