Ed advises owners and occupiers of commercial properties to help manage, protect and enforce their property rights. He is a vastly experienced litigator and negotiator of mediated settlements. Ed has acted for a wide range of clients across many different sectors including retail, industrial, utilities, public sector and development, many of which are household names. Ed is able to draw on his wide experience of handling cases, some of which have reached the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, to help identify a bespoke strategy for the best legal and/or commercial solution to a property problem. He advises property clients on all issues arising from their estate management, including service of notices, damages claims for breach of covenants and advice on the court process for lease renewal claims. He also advises clients on disputes which may arise as an occupier or developer of land. Activities by adjoining occupiers can give rise to a variety of claims in nuisance or trespass and easement/access disputes and Ed has unique experience in acting for landowners in resolving mass trespass situations.
