Michael Lindsey

Michael is a leading intellectual property lawyer advising on all aspects of IP law, including trade marks, designs, copyright, database rights, patents and confidential information. He is an experienced IP litigator who also has significant experience as a transactional IP lawyer. Working from our London and Cardiff offices, Michael’s client base is broad and includes public and private companies, charities, universities, museums and libraries, and local and national government. Michael’s sector experience includes retail, charity, fashion, automotive, engineering and design, art and photography, travel, sport, IT, music, film and broadcasting, and life sciences. Michael has a wealth of experience, having specialised as an intellectual property lawyer since 1992. He has conducted IP cases in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (formerly the Patents County Court), High Court and Court of Appeal, and also the Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys and an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, and sits on (and formerly chaired) the latter’s Design and Copyright Working Group.
