I am a Partner in the firm's IP team and a specialist in brand protection and strategy with nearly 20 years' experience working with major brands and international organisations. I regularly advise on matters including trade mark selection, clearance searches, enforcement (including anti-counterfeiting, oppositions and revocations, passing off and domain name disputes) and various associated agreements (including licenses, assignments and co-existence). I've represented clients before the UKIPO, High Court, General Court and the EUIPO, and have coordinated matters before various intellectual property offices around the world. With a Ph.D. in Chemistry, I have a particular interest in the life sciences sector, while my broader client experience spans a wide variety of sectors and industries, including advertising and media, entertainment, technology consumer goods, financial services, hospitality, manufacturing and telecommunications. · Lewis Silkin
