I am a graduate of NUI Galway where I obtained a Bachelor of Corporate Law and a post-graduate Bachelor of Law. I hold a Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society of Ireland and I am also qualified as a mediator with the Mediators' Institute of Ireland. I am qualified to practice in Ireland, England & Wales. I am also a certified Data Protection Practitioner with PDP in Ireland. I work with domestic and multinational employers on managing employment law risk and solving workplace problems across a broad range of sectors including tech, retail, hospitality, media & entertainment, pharma and financial and professional services. I advise on both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters including all aspect of recruitment, employee management, disciplinary and dismissal issues, grievances, investigations, TUPE, a-typical working and employment litigation. I also advice on the employment aspects of commercial deals and have significant experience advising on workplace data and privacy matters. I pride myself on being commercial, practical and helpful and understand from my in-house role how important clear, quick and sensible advice is for clients in terms of the bigger picture. I don't sit on the fence. I am known for giving practical solutions to people issues and helping employers reduce employment law risks. I also regularly provide in-house employment law and data protection training to clients and their teams. I sit on the Employment Law Association of Ireland where I previously held the roles of Chair and Vice Chair.
