
Alex McIntosh
Alex is a partner in the London office and a member of the firm’s shipping and international trade teams. He advises on disputes arising under charterparties, bills of lading, shipbuilding and restructuring contracts, as well as wet work, including casualties and LOFs. He is also experienced in trade, including letters of credit, sale and purchase contracts, factoring, debt collection, insurance (both marine and non-marine), coverage advice, facility agreements, transactional documentation and policy wordings. Alex's clients include shipowners, insurers, P&I clubs, charterers, traders, manufacturers and logistics providers. He has run court proceedings and arbitrations in many jurisdictions and has obtained and challenged arrests, injunctions and security measures worldwide. Alex lectures extensively on many legal and practical aspects of trade and shipping including charterparties, procurement and arbitration.
