Harriet Grimes

I am a Senior Associate in Michelmores’ Planning and Environment Team. I am also a member of the Firm’s Natural Capital Sector. I advise on a broad range of planning and highways matters with experience acting for both public and private sector clients including local authorities, landowners and developers. I have extensive experience drafting and negotiating section 106 planning agreements. My experience working “on both sides of the fence” means I am well versed in navigating the complexities of section 106 agreements including obligations for affordable housing, open space, biodiversity net gain and nitrate mitigation. My expertise extends to dealing with infrastructure agreements for highways and sewer adoptions, stopping-up orders, certificate of lawfulness applications, changes of use and supporting our transactional teams with planning due diligence on complex sites, including renewables, hotels and large scale residential development. In my spare time, I am a Director of a small property development company. I am a member of UK Environmental Law Association and Women in Property South West branch.
