Laura Thompson
As a Senior Associate in the employment team at Slater and Gordon in London, Laura deals with a range of cases on behalf of trade union clients. Due to her experience, Laura is able to provide advice and expert representation in all areas of employment law, including discrimination, contractual disputes, equal pay, pension loss, redundancy, TUPE, unfair and wrongful and constructive dismissal, wages claims, group claims and whistleblowing. She also has experience of advising on internal grievance and disciplinary proceedings, alternative dispute resolution and settlement agreements. Laura was honoured to be sponsored through the College of Law by the Independent Newspaper after winning a scholarship essay prize in 2000. She also acted for the Lord Chancellor during UNISON’s challenge to employment tribunal fees in the Administrative Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
